Staurogyne repens is a vibrant green, compact plant well-suited for the foreground in aquariums. It has a low, bushy growth pattern with small leaves and typically reaches 5-10 cm in height. When planted, trimming the tallest shoots encourages a spreading growth that will gradually cover the substrate. Under lower light conditions, it may grow more vertically, with fewer side shoots.
