Description:
Dwarf Hairgrass is one of the most popular aquarium carpeting plants, loved for its ability to create a lush, natural “grass lawn” effect in freshwater tanks. Its thin, delicate stalks spread quickly via runners, forming a dense, vibrant green carpet that enhances the depth and realism of any aquascape.
This hardy plant thrives in medium to high light and grows even faster with the addition of CO₂, though it can flourish without it. Ideal for foreground planting or dry-start setups, Dwarf Hairgrass also works beautifully in Wabi-Kusa and paludarium arrangements. For best results, plant small clumps about an inch apart—within weeks, they’ll spread and knit together into a seamless carpet.
